2-MILE & 5-MILE RACES

On Sunday, August 1st, nearly 1,900 runners finished in front of the Pro Football Hall of Fame steps and were part of the record-breaking registrations for this year’s races. The Kids Fun Run promotes physical fitness starting at an early age, and contenders increase each year as they race to the finish line for their medals, where everyone is a winner!

The 2-Mile male and female winners were Josh Benner of Canton and Carol Eckerly of Akron.

Overall top winners in the 5-Mile Race were Julius Kiptoo of Toledo and Mandy Farson of Massillon.

Master winners were Rob Porter of Fairlawn and Teresa Ferguson of Akron.

Top three finishers in the new 5-Mile Competitive Walking division were Chris Schmid of Wooster, Cindy Savage of Massillon, and John Runion of Silverlake. For a complete listing of race results, please click below:
